NATO: Paris makes its move to counter US withdrawal

Washington's sudden announcement of a withdrawal of half its strategic bombers from NATO has left the Europeans in a bind. France is offering its naval and air assets to offset this and is urging its allies to invest in their national capabilities rather than funding joint equipment.
