A package of EU regulations on the automotive sector, covering everything from electrification to "Made in Europe" rules, is being hammered out in Brussels. Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz's officials are working flat out to reach a joint position they can unveil at the Paris Motor Show in mid-October.
