Brussels sounds out French publishers over Kretinsky's Fnac Darty takeover bid
Brussels is consulting France's publishers and booksellers over Daniel Kretinsky's bid for Fnac Darty, amid concerns the Czech billionaire, who controls the country's second-largest publisher, Editis, could favour its titles in Fnac's shops. The EU's competition department has until 19 October to clear the deal or open an in-depth inquiry.
